Change is constant. Upgrading to a new version or moving to a new system presents an IT challenge to ensure busines operations are uninterrrupted throught the process.
With InfraScience's phased approach to migration projects we guarantee:
- Logical flow of work
- Knowledge Transfer
- Organized Process
- Minimal disruption to users
- Thorough understanding of objectives
- Selection of best migration strategy
- Orderly transition between systems
Our systematic approach includes five phases:
-
Assessment and Requirements Analysis – In this phase, we will work with you to determine what functionality is needed to meet the business objectives and workflow. A detailed systems plan will identify current solutions affected by the change that need to remain functional. We will also identify any potential “show-stoppers” to a successful transition and develop strategies to solve issues.
-
Design and Planning – The development a project plan will explain the logistics of the migration with timing and responsibilities identified. And a migration plan with detail the technical aspects of the project. The future state design document defines what the infrastructure will look like after a successful migration, and is critical to mutual understanding of the desired outcome of the project.
-
Proof Of Concept – This phase proves the migration plan is correct and will achieve desirable results or is modified as needed. We will also certify integration applications that are impacted by the migration to make sure it all properly interacts.
-
Pilot Migration – This is a sample production migration with a limited number of users designed to attain initial feedback. Final adjustments are made to get ready for the full rollout.
-
Production Migration – The final step is to transition the entire organization over to the new technology.
